Macedonia enjoys a continental climate favorable to the cultivation of wines of great quality. Wine-growing has been introduced in Macedonia since Antiquity.
Popov estate was created in 2001 in Sopot, in the heart of Macedonia’s most famous wine region, Demir Kapija, in the middle of one of Europe’s largest ornithological parks. With an exceptional microclimate of 300 days of sun per year, favourable to the maturation of the grapes, the wine of the Popov estate benefits from ideal conditions for the production of wines of great qualities.
The estate sells an average of 12 million bottles per year and owns 45 hectares of vineyards. It also meets the challenge of modernity perfectly.
