logo STINA VINOStina is a series of cuvée from the island of Brač in Dalmatia, made from indigenous grape varieties – Pošip, Vugava and Plavac Mali.
Brač is internationally known and recognized for its white stone quarries. It is also the birthplace of many croatian sculptors, poets, novelists and painters. The white stone of Brač is a constant source of inspiration for these artists, for its beauty but also for the fact that it constitutes the soil on which the vineyard develops. These vintages therefore have the name Stina, which means “stone” in Croatian, symbol of the island of Brač.

The wine estate “Stina Jako Vino” from Bol (owned by Mr Jako Andabak, the owner of Bluesun Hotels & Resorts) was the first wine cooperative in Dalmatia, which was founded in 1903 and received its first gold certificate at the international wine show in Paris in 1909.

In 2009, the cellars were completely renovated to vinify the most famous native varieties of Croatia. Nowadays, the site produces 4 varieties of wines, red, white and rosé: Posip, Vugava, Plavac Mali and Opol, whose quality is constantly improving. They have recently won several prestigious awards such as the European Design Award and the Art Directors Club in 2012. In 2013, they also won recognition for a special “Rebrand100”. As for the Posip of Stina, it received for its part the 3rd place for the best white wine at the international wine fair of London in 2012…
